Job summary

MATRIX-IFS is seeking an experienced AML Business Analyst in Jersey City, NJ to drive requirements, perform gap analyses, and collaborate closely with technology teams. You will prepare test scripts, document results, and support AML modules like SAM, CDD, and WLF on an Actimize upgrade project.

Occasional travel and strong communication with executives are expected. The role requires 3+ years in financial AML, solid SDLC understanding, and experience with both Waterfall and Agile methods.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a business analyst in AML in financial services or with vendors/banks.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and tested experience with Waterfall or Agile projects.
• Ability to write test cases, scripts and test plans.
• Strong communication with senior executives and clients.

Responsibilities

Job description

Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills
Work closely with business units to determine requirements, perform gap analysis on existing systems, and prioritize issues

Work closely with technology to convey and interpret requirements, analyze and evaluate data needed to meet the requirements,

Prepare test cases and test scripts for dev eloped code and execute the test cases to document results

Strong understanding of, or the ability to quickly gain such, of applicable laws, regulations, and guidance in the subject area as well as the desire to keep up with changes in a complex environment

Provide professional services expertise and leadership to client projects and implementations

Conduct client workshops, assessments, and strategic planning activities

Willingness and ability to travel occasionally

Ability to handle communications and build relationship with the client and business users
Required Qualifications:3+ years’ experience as a business analyst in the financial industry in AML at consulting firms, product vendors, or banks.
Must have a very good understanding of SDLC process

Experienced professional in Waterfall or Agile methodologies

Capable to write test cases, scripts and test plans

Understanding of AML concepts in several of the following areas:

This is an Actimize upgrade project. SAM, CDD, and WLF.

SAM 8.X to SAM 9.2

CDD 2.3.2 to CDD-X

WLF 3.5.1 to WLF-X

CDDOFAC

Suspicious Activity Reporting

Proficient in PL/SQL from a query perspective on a large database platform (eg MS-SQL, Oracle etc.)Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Confidence communicating with and advising senior executives

Proactive and self-starting Detail and quality oriented

ACAMS certification is a plus

Tools experience (must have):
Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, Project Plan, Visio
