Job summary

Appalachian Community Services is seeking an ACT Therapist in Hayesville, NC. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary ACT team, delivering therapy, crisis intervention, and collaborative treatment planning to individuals with severe mental illness.

The role emphasizes counseling, case management, and coordination with care teams to promote stability and community connection. A Master’s degree and NC licensure are required, with local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work or related field.
• Valid licensure to provide mental/behavioral healthcare in North Carolina (LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, LCMHCA, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist).
• Minimum of two years of experience with mental/behavioral health, writing person-centered plans, group therapy, and diagnoses.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with care teams and maintain compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
• Participate in supervision (if applicable by licensure).
