Job summary

ncgCARE in Hayesville, NC is seeking a Psychiatrist for our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. You will provide direct psychiatric care, lead clinical supervision, and collaborate with NP/PA and nursing staff to support recovery and community stability.

You will participate in daily team meetings, treatment planning, and offer education on medications and health conditions, while guiding a mission-driven team serving complex behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
• Licensed to practice in NC with no restrictions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and manage medications for ACT participants.
• Provide clinical supervision and oversight to NP/PA and nursing staff.
• Collaborate with ACT team leader and nursing team on overall clinical care.
• Participate in daily team meetings and treatment planning.
