Job summary

Appalachian Community Services in Hayesville, NC seeks an experienced leader for its Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. You will guide a multidisciplinary group to support individuals with complex behavioral health needs and promote recovery, independence, and community integration.

This salaried role emphasizes coaching, personnel management, and partnership-building with local agencies, with duties including case management oversight, staff supervision, and ensuring timely service

Qualifications

• A master’s degree from an accredited university in Counseling or a related field.
• A minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with mental and/or behavioral health issues that include writing person-centered plans, conducting effective group therapy and providing mental health diagnoses.
• Valid licensure to provide mental/behavioral healthcare in the state of North Carolina; Licenses include LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, LCMHCA, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist.
• General working knowledge of the human services delivery system in North Carolina.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Employee supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with care teams as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards.
• Participate in supervision (if applicable based on licensure level).
