Job summary

Southwire Company invites recent graduates to join its Sales Rotational Program, a multi-year training path designed to develop future commercial leaders. You will rotate through Contractor Solutions, Specialty Channel Sales, and Retail Sales to learn sales strategies, build customer relationships, and understand the technical and commercial drivers behind North America’s wire and cable leader.

Participants gain on-the-job experience, customer-facing exposure, and cross-functional collaboration,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 0-2 years' experience preferred (internships, co-ops, campus leadership, customer service, or sales support).
  • 2-4 years' experience preferred in sales, distribution, channel management or customer engagement.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured rotational assignments across multiple sales functions to develop a broad view of Southwire’s commercial operations.
  • Support execution of sales plans and strategies within assigned regions, channels or product categories.
  • Collaborate with internal sales teams, channel partners, and external reps to strengthen customer engagement and drive revenue growth.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends and customer behavior to identify growth opportunities and improve forecasting.
  • Contribute to proposal development, customer solutions and product recommendations with engineering/technical inputs when needed.
  • Assist with CRM and order management by documenting interactions and maintaining records.
  • Attend customer meetings, presentations and trainings to understand needs and communicate value-added solutions.

Job Summary

Southwire’s Sales Rotational Program recognizes early emergent talent from recent college graduates and serves as a pipeline for future sales professionals across the organization. This program is designed to successfully develop future commercial leaders through a combination of diverse rotational assignments, targeted training, hands ‑ on experience, and continuous coaching and development.

As a participant in this multi-year program, you will gain exposure to multiple areas within Southwire’s commercial ecosystem, including Contractor Solutions, Specialty Channel Sales, and Retail Sales functions. Through these rotations, you will learn to execute sales strategies, strengthen customer and partner relationships, and understand the technical and commercial drivers that support one of North America’s leading manufacturers in the wire and cable industry. You will gain on ‑ the ‑ job experience, customer-facing exposure, and cross-functional collaboration opportunities that prepare you for a full-time sales role upon program completion.

  • Participate in structured rotational assignments across multiple sales functions to develop a comprehensive understanding of Southwire’s commercial operations
  • Support the execution of sales plans and strategies within assigned regions, channels, or technical product categories
  • Collaborate with internal sales teams, channel partners, and external representatives to strengthen customer engagement and drive revenue growth
  • Assist in analyzing sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and improved forecasting
  • Contribute to proposal development, customer solutions, and product recommendations, including coordination with engineering or technical resources where needed
  • Support CRM and order management processes by documenting customer interactions, entering data, and maintaining accurate sales records
  • Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and training engagements to better understand customer needs and communicate value‑added solutions
  • Coordinate marketing and promotional activities to enhance partner and customer engagement across assigned territories
  • Engage cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, and marketing teams to align sales strategies with product availability and market positioning
  • Demonstrate continuous learning, collaboration, and process improvement throughout all rotational experiences, while complying with all company policies and standards
Required Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree

Specialized Degree: Business, Marketing, Sales, Management, Communications, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field

0-2 Years Experience
