Job summary

Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services is seeking a qualified mental health professional to assess, develop, coordinate, and provide treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to individuals with serious mental illnesses under clinical supervision.

The role includes delivering medications, collaborating in a multidisciplinary team, and potentially serving as lead clinician when designated, with on-call rotation for coverage.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work that includes coursework for licensure by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner in Virginia
  • At least one year experience within the past five years providing services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, certification as a pre-screener for emergency hospitalization in Virginia within six months of hire
  • Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. Our Agency maintains a drug‑free workplace.

Benefits

Annual salary range: $51,233 - $88,832.

Sign‑on bonus: $8,000.

20% increase for licensure.

10% increase for resident/supervisee.
