Job summary

Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services in Virginia is seeking a qualified clinician to assess plans, coordinate treatment, rehabilitation, and support services for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness under supervision.

Responsibilities include weekly medication bag/box fills, delivering medications to homes on a rotating basis, and participation in on-call rotations. Licensure coursework and VA pre-screener eligibility are required or obtainable within six months.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a field including coursework for licensure by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner in Virginia
• At least one year experience within the past five years providing services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, certification as a pre-screener for emergency hospitalization in Virginia within six months of hire

Functions as a clinical member of the multidisciplinary team and provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support services, or may be designated by the team leader to function as the lead mental health professional. Assists individuals with weekly medication bag/box fills; delivers medications to the homes of individuals per morning/evening medication runs on a rotating basis; participates in on-call rotation.

REQUIREMENTS
