Job summary

Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services is seeking a licensed clinical professional to provide individual, family, and group counseling for adults and families in a community setting.

The role includes clinical assessments, intakes, and treatment plan development, with interfaces to courts and social services. A strong emphasis is placed on coordinated team approaches and community education, ensuring recovery support across services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work with coursework for Virginia licensure documented on transcript.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Criminal record checks (State and FBI), CANIS, drug test, and related verifications required; agency maintains a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling to adults and families.
• Conduct clinical assessments, intakes, and develop treatment plans.
• Interface with courts and social services; provide community education, consultation, and emergency services.

Responsibilities

Provides individual, family, and group counseling to adults and families; provides clinical assessments, intakes, and develops treatment plans; effectively interfaces with courts, social services; provides community education, consultation, and emergency services; understands the functioning of treatment court, while promoting recovery through coordinated response by utilizing a team approach.

Minimum Requirements

• M1: Master’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work that includes coursework for licensure by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner in Virginia. Successful completion of the graduate level coursework required from the licensing board to begin licensure supervision/residency must be documented on the graduate degree transcript and provided upon request.
• M2: Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. Our Agency maintains a drug‑free workplace.

Compensation

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $48,028 - $83,222

$8,000 Sign On Bonus

20% Increase for Licensure

10% Increase for Resident/Supervisee
