La Clinica de Familia is seeking a peer support worker to assist members with behavioral health issues, psychiatric disorders, and substance use recovery. You will act as an advocate, provide information and support, and help clients in their recovery journey.

Responsibilities include learning and applying new skills, using electronic health records, maintaining professional relationships with colleagues, and delivering compassionate care while upholding organizational values.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Certification as a certified peer specialist in the state of New Mexico.
• Must maintain a clean driving record; must submit to LCDF background check, TB screen and drug testing.

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing peer support services to members with behavioral health issues, psychiatric disorders, drug and/or alcohol dependence, and physical illnesses. The peer worker will act as a consumer advocate, provide information and support for consumers, and assist consumers in their recovery process.
