Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; strong written and verbal communication is required.
• Minimum of three years in book publishing, scientific/academic publishing, journalism, or related fields.
• Knowledge of publishing contracts, terms, and higher education community.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and develop books for general, professional, scholarly audiences across science, education, and scholarship.
• Manage a pipeline of projects and coordinate with authors and reviewers to develop manuscripts.
• Oversee backlist projects and serve as primary contact with authors.
• Build relationships with MIT faculty and networks of advisors and authors.
