Job summary

SteelWave is seeking a detail-oriented Analyst or Associate to join our Acquisitions & Development team in San Francisco or Marina del Rey, supporting underwriting, financial modeling, market research, reporting, and asset management.

You will work with JV partners, lenders, brokers, and investors, maintaining Excel and ARGUS models, and contributing to business plans and forecasts while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced real estate environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in commercial real estate underwriting, analysis, or asset management.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel modeling; ARGUS Enterprise.
Experience leveraging AI tools to draft, summarize, and analyze data.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; interface with senior executives and external partners.
High degree of self-motivation, attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

Perform underwriting, asset valuation, and sensitivity analyses; maintain and update Excel and ARGUS models.
Prepare quarterly business plans, monthly/quarterly variance analyses, capital trackers, and rolling forecasts.
Coordinate budgeting processes and FP&A controls.
Gather market data; support asset marketing initiatives and interact with brokerage community.
Interface professionally with internal departments, JV partners, lenders, consultants, and investors; provide ad-hoc analysis.
