Job summary

SAIC seeks an Acquisition Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA to join the Air Force, Space and Intelligence Business Group. You will provide acquisition discipline to R&D of ground-based systems and work with a diverse team of engineers and scientists supporting IC and DoD customers.

Responsibilities include drafting acquisition artifacts, supporting budget and contract activities, and coordinating with development teams to monitor progress in a fast-paced environment. Target salary range provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years related experience.
• Active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance.
• Strong acquisition, contracting support, and budgetary process knowledge.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong written and oral communication.
• Experience with FAR, NAM, Contract types and acquisition processes.

Responsibilities

• Work with government staff to develop acquisition strategies and documentation for program development and implementation.
• Draft acquisition packages and supporting documentation for review and approval.
• Review and approve acquisition documents such as sole source justification, CDRLs, and SOW.
• Draft common acquisition artifacts like sole source justification, SOWs, and Contract Data Requirements Lists.
• Prepare contractual documents for government review and signature.
• Provide acquisition advisory services during technical and cost evaluations of proposals.
• Coordinate with development teams to track progress, identify blockers, and assess technical solutions.
• Enter funding information into customer financial tools.
• Support Agile SAFe program development processes and activities.
