Job summary

StraCon Services Group, LLC seeks a Senior Acquisition Specialist with deep DoD contracting experience to support PMTs on critical programs in Maryland. You will analyze contract documentation (Sections B-J), aid in acquisition planning, and help align strategy with program execution.

Responsibilities include monitoring funding and schedules, managing CDRLs, performing cost analyses (TOC, Should Cost, LCC), and maintaining data in CSPT/AMS/PMT tools. U.S.

Qualifications

Essential Job Duties
StraCon Services Group is seeking a Senior Acquisition Specialist with strong expertise in federal contracting and DoD acquisition. This role supports Program Management Teams (PMTs) with a focus on contract analysis, Sections B-J of solicitations and aligning acquisition strategy with program execution. The Senior Acquisition Specialist job duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Analyze and support contract documentation with emphasis on Sections B-J (pricing, deliverables, and attachments).
• Assist in acquisition planning, strategy development, and procurement documentation.
• Support Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) development and adjudication.
• Monitor contract performance, funding, and schedules; identify risks and recommend solutions.
• Support PMT activities, including IPTs, program reviews, and status reporting.
• Track action items, maintain program databases, and ensure timely closure.
• Analyze Earned Value Management (EVM) data, cost performance, and schedule metrics.
• Conduct cost analyses (TOC, Should Cost, CAIV, LCC) and support business case evaluations.
• Maintain acquisition and planning data in CSPT, AMS, or similar tools.
  

Required Skills And Experience

• over 8 years of experience performing duties described in the functional description.
• Hands-on experience with federal contracts and Sections B-J.
• Strong understanding of cost, schedule, and performance management.
  

Desired Skills And Experience

• Experience supporting NAVAIR or Navy PMTs.
• Proficiency with AMS and PMT
• Experience with Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and executive briefings.
• Understanding of Sections B-J
  

Education Requirements

• Masters Degree required
  

Allowable Education Substitutions

• Associate Degree plus four (4) years additional work experience, beyond the required experience outlined for the particular labor category, performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Masters Degree.
  

OR

• Bachelors Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience, beyond the required experience outlined for the particular labor category, performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Masters Degree.
  

OR

• Six (6) years additional work experience, beyond the required experience outlined for the particular labor category, performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Masters Degree.
  

Security Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

The estimated base salary range for this position is between $108,000.00 - $131,000.00. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates level of knowledge, education, experience and skill sets.
