Job summary

Uber seeks a Senior Security Technologist to lead diligence, integration, and operational security for acquisitions, investments, and subsidiaries. You will automate workflows, deploy tooling, and improve telemetry while managing risk across evolving environments post-acquisition.

The role blends advisory and hands-on security engineering, requiring collaboration with security teams and business stakeholders to reduce risk and strengthen resilience across acquired entities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security engineering, cloud security, or related roles.
• Hands-on engineering and troubleshooting in modern enterprise settings.
• Experience with risk management in complex cyber environments.
• Experience coding or automating with Python/Go/Bash or similar.

Responsibilities

• Assess cyber security maturity of acquisition targets across infra, cloud, identity, and endpoints.
• Design scalable security integrations for new companies and subsidiaries.
• Build automation and workflows to accelerate security onboarding.
• Write code to integrate systems, normalize telemetry, and automate remediation.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering to improve analytics and operations.
• Deploy security services: EDR, vulnerability management, logging, IR monitoring, IAM, device management, cloud security, asset visibility.
