Description
The Department of Commerce's Office of Acquisition Management (OAM) is seeking an Acquisition Data Analyst to support the development and maintenance of data tools that enable the Department's acquisition policy and oversight function. This role will build and sustain reports, queries, and dashboards using Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Forms, Power BI, Lists, Excel, and Power Query) to deliver actionable acquisition data and analytics.
Responsibilities
- **Develop, update, and maintain Power Queries and other reports** using data from external acquisition data sources, including:
- The Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS)
- The Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD)
- The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Category Management Dashboards
- Other relevant acquisition data sources as identified
- **Develop, update, and maintain dashboards in Power BI** using the same data sources to support acquisition policy and oversight reporting needs.
- **Use Power Automate** to develop, update, and maintain automated reports and workflows sourced from Microsoft Forms.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and data analysis as requested to support OAM's acquisitionoversight functions.
- Maintain, improve, and troubleshoot existing reports, queries, and dashboards to ensure continued accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Power Platform suite, including:
- Power Automate
- Microsoft Forms
- Power BI
- Microsoft Lists
- Excel
- Power Query
- Experience working with federal acquisition data sources such as FPDS, FAI CornerstoneOnDemand (CSOD), and OMB Category Management Dashboards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate raw acquisition data into clear, actionable reports and dashboards.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot data and reporting issues and implement effective solutions.
- Experience supporting federal acquisition or procurement oversight functions preferred.
Education and Experience
- Master's Degree (or commensurate experience with Bachelor's degree or certifications)
- 5+ years of experience working with acquisition data, particularly the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) and its adhoc reporting functions.
