Qualifications

Job description

Senior Data Analyst

Provides acquisition and contracting data analysis, tracking, inspection, cleansing, visualization, presentation and process mapping support. Leads the review of current solutions and explores alternative tools and process improvements to enhance data visualization, quality and reporting. Recommends opportunities to enhance data collection and processes for reviewing, tracking, analyzing, cleansing, validating, visualizing and presenting acquisition data to increase stakeholder access to data, support informed decision-making by stakeholders regarding current and future procurements, enhance data quality and accuracy, and minimize redundancy.

Responsibilities include those listed below but are not limited to;
  • Provide data analysis, tracking, inspection, cleansing, visualization, presentation and process mapping support
  • Elicit and document data-related requirements from various stakeholders
  • Analyze needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develop technical, structural, and organizational specifications
  • Develop dashboards, charts and graphs for program and executive leadership
  • Develop and maintain solutions that support high-quality, accurate data analytics, acquisition metrics, and executive reporting
  • Explore opportunities to leverage existing information technology systems to implement new ways to capture available data for better accuracy and quality control.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate federal acquisition systems data including from PRISM, FFMS, and APFS to support data analytics and reporting
  • Support development and building prototype trackers as proof of concept for stakeholders, as needed
  • Support trend analysis, root cause investigation, performance indicator reporting, and data quality audits
  • Design, model, document, and guide the logical and conceptual relationship of data, workflows and data visualization for complex applications.
  • Maintain and upgrade SharePoint, PowerApps or other tools to collect, aggregate, and report metrics data using chart web parts, excel services, lists, and document libraries
  • Develop user guides, job aids, quick reference guides and standard operating procedures for all supported tools and trackers
  • Provide training presentations for government stakeholders on data operations and maintenance including how to utilize, manipulate, and maintain the trackers
  • Recommend and implement approved solutions to enhance and automate processes for data collection
  • Ensure the successful implementation and day-to-day operation of data tools and systems integration supporting acquisition program management and contracting operations
  • Create standards and/or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance
  • Communicate with technical, applications, and operational staff, to optimize data, file and dashboard management
  • Analyze and make recommendations for improvements to existing tools to enhance performance, stability, usability and scalability
Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and apply critical analysis to problems and develop alternative solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in problem resolution and customer satisfaction
  • Strong consulting and analytical skills required
  • Strong client relationship management skills required
  • Must have excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate on complex technical issues and present results to customers and senior level management with varying levels of experience with technical solutions
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Teams, SharePoint, MS Excel and MS Word
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint to include practical applications and experience developing/publishing tools
  • Demonstrated experience using Power Apps and Power BI reporting and visualization
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Client or Client Component or comparable federal agencies
  • Basic understanding of federal acquisitions and contracting principles
  • Demonstrated ability to perform Excel/Power BI modeling
  • Relevant certifications such as SharePoint and Power BI/Power Apps
Clearance:
  • Client Fitness with Entry on Duty (EOD)
  • Client or Secret and above highly desired
  • Current Client badges highly desired
