Job summary

Cedar Investment Group (CIG) is seeking an Acquisitions & Asset Management Analyst/Associate to join our growing investment team. This role spans the full lifecycle of investments—from evaluating acquisitions and development opportunities to transaction execution, funding, and ongoing asset management.

You’ll work with senior team members across acquisitions, M&A, financial modeling, development, capital management, and asset-level strategy, gaining meaningful ownership early in your career.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, asset management, investment banking, M&A, private equity, or related field.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work through complex financial and investment information.
  • Strong understanding of real estate fundamentals and financial analysis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to take ownership, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the underwriting and execution of real estate acquisitions, joint ventures, M&A transactions, and development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models, including cash flow projections, IRR and NPV analyses, sensitivities, and scenario testing.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities through market research, financial analysis, due diligence, and assessment of key risks and value creation opportunities.
  • Monitor the financial and operational performance of existing investments against budgets, business plans, and underwriting assumptions.
  • Support project funding and construction draw processes, working with Finance, Project Accounting, lenders, and capital partners.
  • Support development and entitlement activities and evaluate their impact on project timing, underwriting, and investment strategy.
  • Coordinate transaction and project due diligence across internal teams, consultants, legal counsel, and other external stakeholders.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, financial analyses, portfolio reporting, and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Job Description Summary

Cedar is seeking an Acquisitions & Asset Management Analyst / Associate to join our growing investment team. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of our investments, from evaluating new acquisitions and development opportunities through transaction execution, project funding, and ongoing asset management. You’ll work closely with senior team members and gain exposure across acquisitions, M&A, financial modeling, development, capital management, and asset-level strategy. We’re looking for someone who is analytically strong, intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and excited by the opportunity to take meaningful ownership early in their career.

What You’ll Do

What Would Be Great to Have
  • Experience with data centers, digital infrastructure, real estate development, or other capital‑intensive investments is a plus.
  • We’d also value experience with construction draws and project funding, entitlement processes, acquisitions or M&A transactions, or institutional real estate asset management.
