Job summary

Hankard Environmental in Verona, Wisconsin (Madison area) is seeking a full‑time science/engineering consultant in acoustics.

The successful candidate will perform field measurements across the U.S., model noise with SoundPLAN, MATLAB, and GIS, and prepare technical reports and maps while interacting with clients. A 4‑year science/engineering degree is required and 0–5 years of related experience is preferred; INCE certification and PE are a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• 4-year science/engineering degree required.
• 0–5 years in acoustical or environmental consulting preferred.
• INCE certification and PE a plus but not required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field measurements across the U.S. for ambient and compliance surveys.
• Model noise for proposed projects using SoundPLAN, MATLAB, and GIS.
• Interact with clients by phone/online/email.
• Prepare technical reports, graphics, and maps.
• Review standards and procedures in acoustics practice.
• Engage with INCE and ASA and participate in standards development.
