Gator Gypsum, Inc. - Orlando is seeking an Acoustical Sales Specialist to provide product knowledge on drywall and acoustical materials, and to help customers select the right solutions for their projects.

You will build relationships with customers, enter orders, and collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers to drive sales, overcome objections, and maintain accurate pricing records. The role requires a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred), strong communication,

Position Summary

The primary function of an Acoustical Sales Specialist is to provide product knowledge on building materials including drywall, insulation, metal studs for drywall, ceiling systems, stucco, construction tools, construction safety items, drywall compound, and accessories for the drywall industry, with a focus on acoustical products.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with customers.
  • Use the company computer system to enter orders; complete sales orders and tender cash sales.
  • Develop product knowledge to assist customers with purchases.
  • Collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
  • Overcome objections of prospective customers; emphasize product/service features, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
  • Maintain customer accounts and complete sales administrative tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, sales, and pricing.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required; 4 year degree preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 50% of the time. Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.

  • Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
  • Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects.
