Precision Walls, Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks experienced Acoustical Ceiling Mechanics to install acoustical tiles and related materials in commercial interiors. You will inspect surfaces, mix and apply adhesives, and ensure precise alignment with architectural details.

• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools for building construction.

• Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish)

Mansioni

• Applies acoustical tiles or shock-absorbing materials to ceilings and walls.
• Washes concrete surfaces with rinsing solution to improve tile adhesion.
• Inspects furring, mounting, and masonry surfaces for plumbness and level using laser or water level.
• Hangs dry lines to guide positioning of runners and molding.
• Nails or screws molding to wall to seal joints.
• Scribes and cuts edges of tile to fit walls where molding is not specified.
• Nails channels or wood furring strips to surfaces for tile mounting.
• Measures and marks surface to lay out work according to blueprints.
• Cuts tiles for fixtures and borders and inserts tiles into framework.
• Applies cement to tile backs and presses tiles into place aligning with joints.
