Qualifications

• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in building construction.
• Positive attitude and commitment to trade knowledge and quality.
• Compliance with safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Demonstrates solid verbal and written communication; listens to instruction.
• Dependable transportation to job sites.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Applies acoustical tiles or materials to ceilings and walls.
• Washes surfaces to improve tile adhesion.
• Inspects surfaces for plumbness and level using laser or level.
• Hangs lines to guide placement of runners.
• Nails or screws molding to wall to seal joints.
• Cuts tiles to fit along walls where needed.
• Nails channels or furring strips to surfaces for tile mounting.
• Measures and marks surfaces according to blueprints.
• Cuts tiles and inserts into framework.
• Applies cement to back of tile and presses into place.
