Precision Walls Inc. seeks an Acoustical Ceiling Mechanic to install acoustical tiles and related materials on walls and ceilings. The role involves preparing surfaces, aligning components, and ensuring joints are secure according to blueprints.

A bilingual English/Spanish speaker is required and you will work in a team environment on site. Applicants should be able to read drawings, follow safety procedures, and demonstrate dependable transportation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Applies acoustical tiles or shock absorbing materials to ceilings and walls per plan
• Washes surfaces to improve tile adhesion
• Inspects mounting surfaces for plumbness and level using laser or edge tool
• Hangs lines and guides for accurate tile placement
• Nails/mounts moldings to secure joints between ceiling and wall
• Cuts tiles to fit edges and irregular walls
• Lays out work from blueprints and drawings
• Measures, marks and prepares surfaces for tile installation
