Job summary

ASEC, Inc. is seeking a Systems Analyst – Acoustic SME to support the Navy’s P-8A Poseidon program at NAS Patuxent River, MD. The role focuses on ASW systems integration, research, and TEVAL efforts, integrating expertise to support RDT&E and fleet support.

The candidate will bring extensive ASW experience, travel readiness, and strong collaboration skills to coordinate with PMA-264 and other stakeholders in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience on the P-8 platform as an Acoustic Aviation Antisubmarine Warfare Operator (ASW).
• Operational knowledge of acoustic training systems and courseware.
• Experience across ASW operations and tactics.
• MAC experience preferred.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist PMA-264 by managing ASW system engineering requirements.
• Coordinate with PMA-264 Class Desk on engineering activities.
• Develop OMI, CONOPS/CONEMPS, and system specs with relevant docs.
• Analyze acoustic flight data and advise fleet operational recommendations.
• Apply ASW expertise in technical groups to propose solutions and action plans.
• Support STR/CDP management and assess Engineering Change Proposals.
• Provide technical support to the P-8A acoustic fleet.
• Attend weekly program and technical meetings to ensure program progress.
• Participate in flight duties as a Project Specialist.
