Job summary

VA Fargo Healthcare System is recruiting an Associate Chief of Staff for Research & Development. This executive physician role leads the research program, serves as principal investigator, and reports to the Fargo Health Care System Director through the Chief of Staff.

The ACOS/R&D performs research projects, manages the program, and provides supervision to the research staff, balancing administrative leadership with clinical and research duties as required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an approved school; full, unrestricted license in the US
• Residency in an accredited core specialty with board eligibility
• May require board certification for faculty status

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for the Research & Development program
• Supervise and coordinate research activities across the Fargo VA facility
• Advise on research administration, compliance, and program evaluation
• Balance administrative duties (approx. 80%) with clinical and research duties (approx. 20%)
