Job summary

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking an ACJIS Operator (Administrative Assistant II) to support background verifications and ACJIS updates. This position requires strong attention to confidentiality and accurate data handling across logs and systems.

Based in Buckeye, AZ at ASPC Lewis, the role handles visitor background checks, warrants processing, account management, and related admin tasks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic administrative practices

• Dealing with staff, inmates, and the public

Responsibilities

• Conducts background clearances on all visitors, including inmate visitors, vendors, contracted employees, volunteers, special tours, and specified inmates
• Maintains logs manually and electronically and ensures confidentiality of all information
• Organizes and files confidential documents and records
• Processes warrant checks and sends to outside criminal justice agencies
• Performs related administrative tasks and completes special projects/assignments and reports
• Attends meetings and required training
• Sets up and maintains all user accounts
• Drives on state business
• Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
