Job summary

Job Title:Texas ACE / 21st CCLC Site Coordinator

Reports To: ACE Project Director

POSITION SUMMARY

Serve as the on-site leader responsible for implementing all components of Project EMBRACE at an assigned RYSS campus. The Site Coordinator manages daily operations, staff, student safety, attendance, academic and enrichment activities, family engagement, partner services, transportation, meals, data entry, and compliance. The role ensures that the ACE center operates as a seamless extension of the school day and delivers a welcoming, culturally responsive, evidence-based program that meets grant goals and the needs of participating students and working families.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education / Certification

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in education, youth development, social work, recreation, public administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Texas educator certification or recognized youth-development credential preferred.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within the timeline established by RYSS.
  • Clear and valid Texas driver's license; ability to travel locally and work a flexible schedule.
  • Must satisfy all criminal history, fingerprinting, and other screening requirements applicable to school personnel and volunteers.

Experience

  • Three years of experience in K-12 education, afterschool/summer programming, youth development, recreation, community services, or a related field preferred.
  • At least one year of experience supervising staff, coordinating programs, or leading a school/community site preferred.
  • Experience working with high-need, at-risk, emergent bilingual, immigrant, homeless, and/or special education students preferred.
  • Experience with grant-funded programming, attendance goals, family engagement, data

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of high-quality afterschool and summer program operations, student supervision, positive behavior supports, SEL, and youth development.
  • Knowledge of TEKS, High-Impact Tutoring, HQIM, HB 1416 accelerated instruction, homework support, and alignment with school-day curricula.
  • Ability to supervise, coach, schedule, and evaluate part-time staff, tutors, mentors, volunteers, and service providers.
  • Strong organizational, communication, family engagement, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate participant, attendance, activity, meal, transportation, staffing, inventory, and incident records.
  • Proficiency with student information systems and TEA-designated data platforms such as TX21st, EZReports, ACE Navigator, or successor systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with students and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds; bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Tools / Equipment

Standard office and classroom equipment; computers and peripherals; attendance/data systems; communication devices; instructional, recreation, STEM, and safety equipment.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, speaking, listening, and active supervision of students.
  • Frequent computer use and recordkeeping; ability to move throughout classrooms, cafeterias, gyms, outdoor areas, buses, and event spaces.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying of program materials and equipment up to 30 pounds.

Environmental Factors

  • Work is primarily performed on a school campus during afternoon/evening hours, with summer daytime hours and occasional mornings/weekends.
  • Exposure to noise, outdoor weather, crowded activity areas, student behavior concerns, and frequent interruptions.
  • Periods of high activity and stress requiring sound judgment, emotional control, and immediate response to student or operational needs

Salary: $55,000 $60,000 annually
