Job summary

Spring Independent School District in Houston, TX is seeking an Instructional Specialist – Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) Campus. You will support ACE implementation, provide targeted interventions, and coach teachers to raise student achievement.

The ACE role collaborates with campus leadership to strengthen instructional practices, align planning with data, and accelerate growth across multiple grades and subjects. Immediate start possible with ACE stipend included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate appropriate for assignment.
• Minimum of three (3) years of successful classroom teaching experience.
• Experience providing targeted academic intervention in reading or mathematics.
• Experience coaching teachers or supporting instructional improvement initiatives.
• Experience working in high-needs or turnaround campuses.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and targeted intervention to students identified as academically at risk.
• Deliver small-group and individualized intervention services aligned with campus instructional priorities.
• Implement research-based intervention strategies designed to accelerate student learning.
• Monitor and track student progress during intervention cycles and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Support the implementation of literacy and numeracy strategies that strengthen foundational academic skills.
• Monitor the academic progress of students receiving interventions and maintain accurate documentation.
• Analyze student performance data to identify trends, learning gaps, and instructional needs.
• Support teachers and campus leadership in using data to guide instructional planning and intervention strategies.
• Participate in campus data cycles focused on improving instructional effectiveness and student outcomes.
• Assist with the development and implementation of targeted academic support plans for students.
• Model effective instructional practices and strategies in classrooms.
• Provide instructional coaching and feedback to teachers to support improved instructional practices.
