Ace Handyman Services - Licensed Electrician
Posted Thursday, 10/29/2026
Role Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Electrician to perform high-quality residential electrical work and serve as the technical lead for our local team. In this role, you will run your own jobs in customer homes - handling tasks ranging from panel breaker replacements and circuit extensions to light fixture, fan, and EV charger installations. You will also serve as the resident electrical expert our craftsmen turn to for advice and guidance.
This position holds key responsibility as the Qualified Individual on the company's North Carolina electrical contractor license, giving you the authority to supervise and direct all electrical work performed under our name. For a skilled electrician seeking career growth, this role provides a direct pathway to help build, structure, and eventually lead our dedicated electrical division.
You will enjoy full-time, W-2 employment with a predictable schedule and a steady stream of jobs. You never have to chase leads or spend evenings doing administrative work - our office team manages customer service, dispatching, scheduling, and billing so you can focus on your trade.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, day-to-day success means delivering safe, high-quality work on time while giving homeowners a clear, friendly, and stress-free experience. Over time, success means building a scalable electrical service offering and growing into a division leader.
Key daily and long-term responsibilities include:
- Residential Electrical Services: Install, repair, and replace wiring, outlets, switches, GFCI/AFCI devices, light fixtures, ceiling fans, and exhaust fans.
- Troubleshooting & Communication: Diagnose electrical issues on-site and clearly explain the solution and pricing to homeowners in plain, easy-to-understand terms.
- System Installs & Upgrades: Add or extend circuits, replace breakers, install EV chargers, generator inlets/transfer switches, smoke/CO detectors, and service panels within license scope.
- Permitting & Inspections: Pull necessary permits and prepare work for code inspection in Wake and surrounding counties according to the NEC and local regulations.
- Job Documentation: Maintain clear records in ServiceTitan, including material logs, job notes, and before/after photos.
- License Oversight & Mentorship: Supervise and sign off on all electrical work under the company license, maintain your NCBEEC qualification and required continuing education, and advise team members on safe electrical practices.
- Division Growth: Collaborate with management to define electrical service menus, set pricing, train future apprentices, and take ownership of division quality and scheduling as the business expands.
