Job summary

HomeBank Texas is seeking a New Accounts/Teller Representative to deliver high-quality customer service while handling daily teller transactions and assisting customers with deposits and account openings. You will build relationships, explain products and disclosures, verify identities, and ensure compliance with CIP and BSA/AML guidelines while delivering courteous service and resolving issues promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of customer service, cash handling, or banking experience preferred.
• Ability to pass background check per banking regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process routine financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, wires, payments, and check cashing.
• Balance cash drawer and maintain proper cash controls in accordance with bank procedures.
• Open and service consumer and business accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, and IRAs.
• Explain account products, services, fees, and disclosures clearly to customers.
• Verify customer identity and documentation in compliance with CIP and regulatory requirements.
• Identify customer needs and cross-sell appropriate bank products and services.
• Assist customers with digital banking, debit cards, and general account inquiries.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all transactions and account openings.
• Follow security procedures and report suspicious activity per BSA/AML guidelines.
• Provide professional, courteous service and resolve customer issues promptly.
