Job summary

Clark Wood Limited in Bangor is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join a well-established independent Chartered Accountants firm. You will manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, delivering accounting and tax services with a focus on accuracy and client service.

You will prepare statutory and management accounts, handle personal and corporate tax returns, and build lasting client relationships while taking ownership of your client portfolio and supporting team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have AAT/ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualifications.
• Strong accounting and tax knowledge with experience in practice.
• Confident dealing directly with clients and managing a portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts and management accounts.
• Prepare personal and corporation tax returns.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a key contact.
• Manage your own client portfolio and support the team as needed.

Accounts Senior | Bangor | £35,000 - £40,000 DOE

Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a well-established and highly regarded independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Bangor, who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Senior to join their growing team.

The Role

You will work with a varied portfolio of predominantly owner-managed businesses and SMEs, providing a range of accounting and tax services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts and management accounts
• Preparing personal and corporation tax returns
• Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact
• Taking responsibility for your own portfolio of clients and working towards managing this independently
• Supporting members of the team where appropriate

About You

• AAT qualified, ACA / ACCA qualified or QBE
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Strong accounts and tax knowledge
• Confident dealing directly with clients
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Organised, proactive and able to manage and prioritise your workload
