Job summary

Lakeside Foods, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate at our Manitowoc Corporate Office. This role focuses on accuracy, timely processing, and resolution of discrepancies across multiple departments to keep AR aging in check.

You will manage daily cash activity, reconcile accounts, and prepare monthly AR reports, while supporting the team with various AR tasks. A strong eye for detail and solid Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Accounts Receivable.
• ERP experience, SAP preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including data manipulation.
• Experience writing queries to develop reports.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to summarize information.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily cash deposits, cash reports, and cashbook entries.
• Identify and document discrepancies for review by Sales, Customer Service, Invoicing, and other departments.
• Maintain accurate files of open and closed discrepancies and ensure they reconcile to the Accounts Receivable Aging.
• Obtain and distribute supporting documentation needed to route discrepancies for approval.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for all Accounts Receivable accounts.
• Complete follow-up calls for the collection and resolution of open discrepancies.
• Investigate pending deductions and pursue them through final resolution.
• Post Accounts Receivable transactions to the General Ledger and reconcile the Aging to the General Ledger.
• Communicate banking information to customers.
• Prepare Accounts Receivable journal entries.
• Maintain accurate records of ACH transfers and apply payments to specific invoices through cashbook entries.
• Assist and provide backup to other employees within the department.
• Assist the Accounts Receivable Supervisor with periodic reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
