What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Conduct accurate and timely follow-up on unpaid and underpaid claims, working with payers to resolve issues
  • Research claim denials and initiate appeals as necessary, ensuring timely corrections and reprocessing of claims
  • Identify root causes and denial trends, making recommendations to prevent future denials
  • Participate in team meetings to share denial trends and contribute ideas for workflow improvements
  • Meet established productivity and quality metrics in the Accounts Receivable Department

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High School Graduate/GED required; Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing, including CPT/ICD-10 coding and reimbursement guidelines
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer literacy skills
