Job summary

Everstaff is seeking an organized Accounting/Accounts Receivable Associate to support daily accounting operations in Garfield Heights. The role focuses on accounts receivable, billing, collections, and general accounting support, working closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure accurate records and timely processing.

Responsibilities include processing customer invoices, recording payments, monitoring AR aging, and providing backup for AP functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial and business information professionally.
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative, follow through on tasks, and work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar accounting system is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Record incoming checks and process cash receipts, including submitting deposits to the bank.
• Record ACH payments and wire transfers based on banking activity.
• Review accounts receivable aging reports weekly and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.
• Prepare and process customer invoices within the accounting system.
• Generate and review daily open order reports.
• Provide backup support for accounts payable functions when needed.
• Maintain tax-exempt documentation and assist with related compliance requirements.
• Process customer credit applications.
• Track and maintain Certificates of Insurance.
