Job summary

Allsup LLC is seeking an Accounting Specialist I to manage beneficiary cases through the payment readiness cycle within the SSA Ticket to Work program. You will handle proactive outreach, documentation validation, and billing requests to move cases toward billable milestones.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Exposure to SSA processes, compliance, and a collaborative team setting are part of the day-to-day work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate's degree with 6 months general office experience or Allsup experience preferred.
• Ability to learn, retain and apply information.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage assigned caseloads.
• Proactively assess cases for payment readiness and billing eligibility.
• Initiate outbound communication with beneficiaries to obtain required documentation.
• Explain documentation requirements and resolve issues related to paystubs.
• Review and validate wage data processed through extraction tools.
• Complete SSA Form 821 (Work Activity Reports) for billing.
• Identify and address documentation gaps delaying payment requests.
• Prepare and submit payment requests per SSA Ticket to Work guidelines.
• Update case statuses based on employment changes (unemployed, underemployed, TWP, SGA).
• Coordinate with case owners and internal teams regarding changes impacting billing.
• Maintain accurate documentation of actions within AES systems.
• Assist with Ticket Assignments and portal updates as needed.
• Ensure adherence to compliance and program requirements.
