Job summary

Labcorp is seeking an Account Receivable Specialist I to join our team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will post remittance from private and government payers, balance files using reports and macros, and ensure timely processing.

The role requires at least 1 year in AR/Billing, strong Excel and MS Office skills, and excellent communication. Monday–Friday schedule with potential for growth within our global diagnostics network.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of Accounts Receivable/Claims or Billing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to balance remittance data.

Responsibilities

• Post electronic remittance from payers within the turnaround time using macros and multiple systems.
• Meet weekly and monthly production goals after training.
• Research payer websites to obtain posting backup.
• Identify issues and trends with assigned payers.
• Ensure aged accounts receivable are handled per SOP.
• Communicate with leadership and partner teams for accurate processing.

Labcorp is seeking an ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST I to join our team.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm EST

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process and post electronic remittance from all assigned payers within the expected Turnaround Time, includes using macros and other computer-based tools and multiple systems
• Meet weekly and monthly production goals after training
• Research payer websites to obtain posting backup
• Identify issues and trends with assigned payers
• Ensure aged account receivables are handled according to Standard Operating Procedure
• Communicate with leadership and partner teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of remittance

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 1 year or more Accounts Receivable/Claims or Billing

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more Revenue Cycle Management experience
• 1 year or more work experience in healthcare, explanation of benefits, or cash posting

Additional Job Standards

This Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for posting AR and electronic/manual remittance from private and government payers into the billing system. Posting electronically requires multiple reports, macros and tools to balance files to money received.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
