Job summary

Bunzl is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Massachusetts to join our Finance team in a hybrid role. You will manage customer accounts, drive timely payments, and resolve billing issues to support cash flow objectives.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years AR experience, a high school diploma (bachelor's in accounting preferred), and proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, and Dynamics GP. Join a team dedicated to accurate records and reliable collections.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP 18.6 preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned customer accounts and collect payments to ensure timely payments.
• Contact customers by phone and email regarding past due invoices and secure commitments.
• Monitor aging reports and reduce delinquent accounts to improve cash collections.
• Escalate issues and collaborate with internal teams to resolve barriers to payment.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, unapplied cash, deductions, and credits.
• Process invoices through customer portals and ensure timely submission.
• Provide customers with invoices, statements, and supporting documentation as needed.
• Maintain detailed collection notes and accurate customer account records.
• Build positive relationships with customers while maintaining a professional collection approach.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and other departments to accelerate payment.
• Prepare weekly aging and collection status updates for management.
• Support cash application, account reconciliations, and other AR functions.
• Assist with additional AR and collection duties as assigned.
