Job summary

Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma is seeking an AR Representative to help ensure timely accounts receivable reviews. Under the direction of the Business director, you will examine claim submissions, identify errors, and pursue proper reimbursement while addressing delayed payments.

This role requires strong organization, Excel proficiency, and solid communication skills to coordinate with hospital departments and billers to close visits efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Two years of hospital/medical billing experience or understanding.
• Proficient with Excel and basic spreadsheet manipulation.
• Good organizational, reading, writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review accounts receivable for timely closing of visits; examine claim submissions, errors and reimbursement.
• Identify delays or issues and work toward resolving them to close the visit.

Job description

DEFINITION:

Under the direction of the Business director, the AR Representative is responsible for the timely review of accounts receivable. During the review process, all aspects of the claim will be reviewed: claim submission, errors, proper reimbursement, delayed payments and work toward resolving all issues to close the visit.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two years of hospital/medical office billing and collections or can demonstrate an understanding of hospital billing and collections.
• Basic computer skills and 10-key calculator.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet manipulation.
• Must have good organizational skills, reading, writing and proven communication skills.
• Proficient math skills.
• General office experience.
