we are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist with a strong background in insurance follow-up and EPIC EMR. This role is fully remote and requires working CST hours. You will be responsible for resolving denied, underpaid, or unresolved claims by communicating with insurance providers and ensuring timely reimbursement.

Responsibilities:

• Follow up with insurance carriers on denied or underpaid claims
• Submit appeals and resolve claim discrepancies
• Navigate payer websites and clearinghouses
• Maintain accurate documentation of all collection activities
• Collaborate with internal teams and escalate issues as needed
• Handle inbound/outbound calls with insurance providers and clients
• Meet department performance metrics and deadlines
• Work independently in a remote environment with reliable internet and a quiet workspace

Requirements:

• 2+ years of recent experience in AR follow-up for a healthcare organization
• Current use of EPIC EMR in your role
• 1+ year of experience working remotely
• Experience calling insurance providers for claim resolution
• Familiarity with various medical specialties
• Pay Rate: $24/hr
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST
• Contract: 6-month contract-to-hire
• Location: Remote (U.S. based only)
