The position emphasizes detailed analysis, accuracy in balances, and timely correction of discrepancies, with a focus on Epic experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in a large, high-volume hospital or ambulatory/provider billing/follow-up or cash management is preferred.
• 1-2 years Epic experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (MS Excel functions in particular).
• Advanced keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Post daily patient and third-party payments and adjustments with accuracy.
• Reconcile bank lockbox activity with patient accounting system.
• Analyze remittance data to ensure accurate balances and correct discrepancies.
• Support Revenue Cycle operations under PFS Supervisors and Managers.

This is a remote work position that requires residency in KY or IN*** Under the direction of the PFS Supervisors and Managers for the Hospital and Medical Group, is responsible for duties related to the Centralized Billing Office, which could include, but are not limited to supporting Revenue Cycle by ensuring accurate and timely daily posting of all third-party and patient payments as well as adjustments to patient accounts. They are responsible for daily entry, reconciliation, electronic data interchange, and analysis of all activity between the bank lockboxes and the patient accounting system.
