Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to work remotely from Kentucky or Indiana, reporting to the PFS Supervisors and Managers. You will handle daily posting of payments, adjustments, and data reconciliation to ensure accurate account balances.

The role requires attention to detail, strong Excel skills, and Epic experience, with standard office software proficiency and strong keyboarding ability. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in a high-volume hospital or ambulatory/care billing environment preferred.
• 1-2 years Epic experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and advanced MS Excel functions.
• Strong keyboarding skills and comfort with basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Post third-party and patient payments daily with accuracy.
• Support Revenue Cycle by reconciling data and ensuring correct balances.
• Analyze activity between bank lockboxes and the patient accounting system to identify discrepancies.

Summary Job Description: Baptist Health is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team! This is a remote work position that requires residency in KY or IN Under the direction of the PFS Supervisors and Managers for the Hospital and Medical Group, is responsible for duties related to the Centralized Billing Office, which could include, but are not limited to supporting Revenue Cycle by ensuring accurate and timely daily posting of all third-party and patient payments as well as adjustments to patient accounts. They are responsible for daily entry, reconciliation, electronic data interchange, and analysis of all activity between the bank lockboxes and the patient accounting system. This position requires detailed analysis and critical thinking to ensure accurate balances are reflected on accounts and determine what is necessary to correct an account if not matching remittances.

Qualifications: High school graduate or GED certificate required; Associate degree preferred 3+ years in a large, high volume fast paced hospital or Ambulatory/Provider Billing/Follow-up or cash management is preferred 1-2 years Epic experience preferred Proficient with standard Windows applications (e.g., MS Office application suite, advanced skilled using MS Excel functions) High level proficiency in use of basic computer applications (e.g., Internet Explorer, word processing, email applications) Advanced keyboarding skills
