Roto-Rooter has an entry-level Accounts Receivable position available at our Northern Virginia branch located in Springfield, VA. The salary range for this position is between $18.00-$20.00 per hour based on experience.

Because we are expanding rapidly through acquisitions and internal growth, we have an excellent opportunity available for an Accounts Receivable Specialist. We are hiring immediately! This candidate should have a billing specialist background and experience in accounting, accounts receivable, and collections.

Responsibilities:

1. Secure payment of invoice.
2. Ensure accuracy of invoice.
3. Enter information into AS400.
4. Ensure AR processes are followed.
5. Monitor payment status of all completed jobs.
6. Complete reports and update the General Manager on the status of ARs.
7. Contact customers with delinquent accounts and/or to ensure they have received their invoice and understand payment terms.

Qualifications include:

• Accounts receivable accounting experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of various common software programs.
• Self-starter who is organized, thorough, with attention to detail and follow-up skills.
