Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, MO seeks an Accounts Receivable Manager to lead the Client Financial Services team, ensure timely claims submission, and maintain regulatory compliance while driving revenue and team development. You will oversee daily AR operations, monitor performance, coach staff, and collaborate with payers, vendors, and clinical departments to optimize cash flow and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Certification in Billing and/or Coding preferred.
  • Minimum five years in a healthcare environment with billing/collections experience preferred.
  • Missouri CCBHO and MCO billing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations and workflows for Client Financial Services.
  • Provide direction and support to staff according to an established education plan.
  • Deliver excellent customer service with staff, vendors, payers, and clients.
  • Ensure services comply with state/federal regulations and organizational policies.
  • Oversee timely submission of all claims and AR reconciliation.
  • Monitor financial health and AR performance to meet targets.
  • Support staff development and annual performance reviews.
  • Coordinate with leadership to achieve operational goals.
  • Stay informed on Missouri Department of Mental Health Fee for Service programs, CCBHO, MCO, and third-party payers.
