Base Compensation Range: $70,500 - $88,250

Job Summary
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire accounts receivable function to ensure accurate and timely billing, collections, and cash application processes. This role involves supervising the AR team, developing and implementing effective collection strategies, maintaining strong relationships with clients, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The AR Manager plays a critical role in optimizing cash flow, minimizing bad debt, and supporting financial reporting and audits.
Duties/Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
• Supervise and mentor the accounts receivable teams, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
• Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and foster a collaborative team environment.
Accounts Receivable Management:
• Oversee the accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, and cash application.
• Monitor aging reports and proactively address overdue accounts to minimize bad debt and improve cash flow.
• Develop and implement collection strategies to ensure timely receipt of payments.
Process Improvement:
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounts receivable functions.
• Streamline workflows, automate processes, and develop best practices to reduce manual intervention.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable metrics, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for operational enhancements.
Compliance and Controls:
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with internal auditors and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments, such as Customer Service and Sales, to ensure seamless financial processes and resolve any issues that arise.
• Provide support to the finance team with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable.
Experience/Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable with 1 - 2 years of team leadership or project management experience.
Knowledge & Skillsets Required
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as relevant regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in NetSuite and BlackLine; advanced Excel skills required.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Ventilation: Good ventilation to ensure a comfortable working environment, though this can vary depending on the building.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
