About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager to join our team. As part of the Service Center team, you will collaborate with multiple departments to maintain accurate financial records, implement best practices, and drive efficiency through automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading our Centralized Billing Team, responsible for supporting the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process. Creating accountability for billing and collection efforts and procedures for Centralized Billing processes.
  • Participating as a key leader on our Finance Leaders Team. Attending Cluster and Market level meetings to identify systemic issues in AR practices, workflow, or system configuration, and support standardized best practices among communities.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive and collaborative working relationships between Market Leaders and their teams and the Centralized Billing team through mentoring, support, and coaching on senior living accounts receivable and managed care contracting.
  • Developing strategic initiatives regarding the revenue cycle in collaboration with our field leaders and the Centralized Billing team
  • Driving a culture of compliance in the Centralized Billing team for technical compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial billing standards.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of payor contracts and ensuring that payors are billed according to contract provisions. When needed, represents and acts on behalf of the community in resolving conflicts with payors.
  • Preparing monthly analytics and metrics of the drivers of revenue, bad debt, and accounts receivable to identify trends, potential errors, or system issues.
  • Analyzing key revenue indicators to identify opportunities for revenue optimization.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of government billing regulations, including Medicaid regulations for each state. Analyzing the financial impact of proposed changes in regulations and reimbursement, and preparing forecasts of revenue based on those changes.
  • Analyzing revenue and collections for 606 accounting entries.
  • Monitoring and auditing for adequate processes to ensure SOX compliance. Researching and developing responses to changes in accounting standards for the Finance team, internal, and external auditors.
  • Analyzing the impact of various industry trends (BPCI initiatives, Managed Care contracts) on targeted and trended revenues
  • Providing support, analytics, and accountability for the revenue cycle management processes for newly acquired operations to integrate them into state-of-the-art electronic medical records, revenue, and accounting systems.
  • Review and approve manual revenue adjustments above $500 up to $10,000.

Qualifications:

  • Lead the Centralized Billing Team to support the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process, ensuring accountability in billing, collections, and compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial standards.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Market Leaders to identify and address systemic AR issues, implement best practices, and support integration of newly acquired operations.
  • Foster strong relationships through mentoring and coaching on accounts receivable and managed care contracting across communities and markets.
  • Analyze and report key financial metrics, including revenue drivers, AR trends, bad debt, and regulatory impacts, ensuring compliance with SOX and evolving accounting standards.
  • Develop and drive strategic revenue initiatives, optimizing reimbursement processes and resolving payor conflicts based on contract knowledge and regulatory changes.
