Jasper Engine Exchange, Inc. in Jasper, Indiana, is seeking an AR Generalist to handle inbound and outbound collections, billing, cash application and account reconciliation on a 100% on-site basis at our headquarters. The role emphasizes accuracy and timely cash flow within a mid-size AR function.

The position offers a 40-hour week, with hours from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, PTO and holidays after 30 days, retirement plans and on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• Broad Accounts Receivable experience including inbound & outbound collection calls, billing, cash application, and customer account reconciliation.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to understand customer transactions and payment histories.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills; bilingual a plus (not required).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Outlook is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain customer payment information by phone (50%+ of daily work).
• Reconcile AR aging for select customers.
• Invoice customers in accordance with policies when required.
• Process AR transactions including cash application.
• Evaluate current policies and suggest process improvements.
• Assist in applying customer payments to accounts as needed.
• Support other accounting staff with workloads and collections efforts.
• Perform general accounting and administrative duties including answering calls to customers.

Job Description: Job Overview: As an AR Generalist, the successful candidate needs to have broad experience in Accounts Receivable which includes but is not limited to handing Inbound & Outbound Collection Calls, Billing, Cash Application, and Customer Account Reconciliation.

Location

100% onsite at our headquarters facility at 815 Wernsing Road, Jasper IN 47546

Schedule

40 hours per week, 8:15 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (45-minute lunch break)

Primary Responsibilities

• Obtain Customer payment information by phone (this is over 50% of the daily work for this position)
• Reconcile AR Aging for select customers on a timely basis
• When required, Invoice Customers in accordance with policies
• Process AR transactions to include Cash Application
• Continuous evaluation of current policies and recommendations for process improvements
• Assist applying customer payments to accounts when business need occurs
• Assist other accounting personnel with workloads as needed
• Assist with collection efforts and all associated functions
• General accounting & administrative duties as required including answering the phone and outbound calls to our customers

Customer Data Entry Requirements

• AR experience in mid-size to large companies
• Familiarity with accounts AR functions
• General Accounting experience with a good understanding of transaction flows
• Strong analytical skills
• Able to understand Customer transactions
• Computer skills are required, proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual communication skills are a plus (but not required)
