Jasper Engines & Transmissions in Wisconsin is seeking a detail-oriented Machinist for the GAS Division to operate milling, boring, and honing equipment.

You will follow precise spec sheets, use gauges and measuring devices, and ensure parts meet exact tolerances with high hand dexterity.

This full-time position offers a 4-day shift Mon-Thu with overtime on Fridays and occasional Saturdays, a climate-controlled shop, training, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow technical spec sheets.
• Basic math and measurement skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operate milling, boring, and honing equipment to machine blocks to spec.
• Set up and align honing machine; use calibration rod and honing bar.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify parts match specifications.
• Follow job sheets and maintain attention to detail and safety.

Job Description

Gas - POD 460, 470 Machining. In the GAS Division, POD Machining will perform responsibilities including but not limited to milling, boring, and aligning the honing machine for blocks. The Associate will use tools such as a honing bar and a calibration rod. Associates will utilize milling and seat cutting machines for heads. The associate will be using tools such as cutters and various measuring devices. They will use precision measuring equipment to accurately machine parts to match the specs required for specific jobs. This position requires an individual with strong hand dexterity, ability to follow spec sheets, and attention to detail and math skills.

Schedule

Monday - Thursday 6:15am - 4:45pm. Overtime available on Fridays and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
• The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 10 hours)
• The ability to use handheld tools such as hammers, drills, impacts, gauges.
• Standing: Continuously
• Walking: Occasionally/ Frequently
• Sitting: Never
• Stooping (forward leaning): Occasionally/ Frequently
• Reaching/Working Overhead: Occasionally
