Job summary

H&S Family of Bakeries is seeking an AR Specialist to record and apply customer payments, resolve discrepancies, and monitor balances. You will reconcile accounts and keep AR aging reports updated, ensuring accurate batch reconciliation with accounting records.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience with CRM and credit policies is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years' AR experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365, including V-Lookups and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Record and apply customer payments (Checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards).
• Address and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain AR Aging Reports.
• Monitor and reconcile daily payment batches with accounting records.
• Verify billing details, terms, and account information.
• Prepare and provide accurate information to customers in a timely manner.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers.
• Manage recurring billing schedules and update customer records.
• Maintain documentation in CRM (ACT).
• Generate AR reports (Aging schedules, collections status).
• Maintain records of invoices, payments, and correspondence.
• Monitor and enforce credit policies and procedures.
• Assist with audit or compliance documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• A minimum of two years' experience with AR is preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office 365, V-Look ups and pivot tables is a plus
• Experience with process improvement initiatives is a plus
• Familiarity with AR automation tools and payment processing platforms
