The ideal candidate will bring forward-thinking, continuous improvement mindset, consistently evaluating how work is performed and identifying opportunities to operate more effectively. Rather than focusing on transactional execution, this role will emphasize process ownership, team development, operational excellence, and building for scale.

  • Lead initiatives to standardize and document processes, establish best practices, and drive consistency across the AR function.
  • Challenge existing processes and continuously evaluate opportunities to improve how work is performed, with a focus on long-term sustainability rather than short-term fixes.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Technology teams to implement process improvements and support business integrations.
  • Partner with AR Manager to oversee the AR month-end close, collaborating with teams being overseen and operations. Focusing on driving improvements that shorten the close timeline and strengthen controls.

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen employee capabilities, expand cross-training, improve accountability, and develop future team leaders.

  • Develop repeatable training programs, documented procedures, and performance expectations that support consistency and employee growth.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Technology, Automation & Scalability
  • Identify and champion opportunities to leverage Epicor Eclipse, Billtrust, and other technologies to streamline AR operations.
  • Partner with Financial Systems and IT to evaluate and implement automation, system enhancements, and improved workflows.
  • Assess how processes, technology, and organizational capabilities must evolve to support increased transaction volumes and future acquisitions.
  • Develop scalable operating practices that reduce dependency on manual intervention and individual knowledge.
  • Support integration and standardization of AR processes across newly acquired businesses.
Performance Management & Operational Excellence
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure productivity, accuracy, timeliness, and process effectiveness.
  • Analyze operational trends and root causes of recurring issues, developing sustainable corrective actions.
  • Partner with the AR Manager to ensure effective controls, clear accountability, and consistent execution of established processes.

  • Support the AR Manager in developing and executing departmental priorities and long-term improvement initiatives.
