Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit accurate billings and financial status reports in sponsor-specific formats.
  • Review grant/contract documentation to ensure proper categorization of expenditures and cost-sharing.
  • Monitor incoming payments, process electronic deposits, and apply receipts in Oracle.
  • Perform collection activities, including contacting sponsoring agencies to resolve payment issues.
  • Manage award closeouts, cash transfers and sponsor refunds.
  • Stay current with sponsor, federal, and state regulations.
  • Build positive relationships with university departments and funding agencies to resolve billing and reporting issues.
  • Run monitoring reports and assist with reconciliations and audit documentation as needed.

Join a team that ensures the financial health of research projects across the University at Albany. As a
Accounts Receivable Analyst, you'll play a critical role in managing post-award financial activities for
grants and contracts. This position is ideal for professionals with strong billing, collections, and account

Essential Functions

Requirements:

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, spreadsheets) and other Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and acustomer-servicemindset.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to financial systems.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with Oracle.
  • Experience in higher education or nonprofit financial administration.
  • Familiarity with grant and contract management processes.
Additional Information:

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000(DOE)
