Responsibilities:

As a Lead AR Billing & Collections Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the revenue cycle process for Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Physical Therapy (PT) clients. You will:

  • Lead and manage the overall billing and collections process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Oversee timely submission of medical claims and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable (AR).
  • Identify and resolve denied or rejected claims, managing appeals and disputes.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for the billing team, ensuring they have the tools for success.
  • Analyze revenue cycle performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and payer requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including clinical and finance staff, to resolve billing and reimbursement issues.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new billing team members.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Experience: 4+ years of recent AR medical billing, collections, or revenue cycle management experience (required).
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Raintree EMS software (preferred).
  • Leadership Ability: Experience mentoring or leading a team is a plus.
  • Strong Attention to Detail & Problem-Solving Skills to navigate complex insurance and reimbursement processes.
